Rie Fuse is a University Lecturer in Japanese Studies at the University of Helsinki, affiliated with the Faculty of Arts and the Department of Languages. She holds a PhD in Cultural Studies and specializes in Japanese Language Education, Critical Pedagogy, and Media Literacy. Her research explores intersections of language education, cultural representation, and digital humanities. She actively participates in academic organizations like the European Association of Japanese Resource Specialists (EAJRS) and the Finnish Oriental Society.
