Naoki Fuse serves as the Japanese Language Program Coordinator and an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at the University of Notre Dame. He has taught courses ranging from Elementary to Advanced Japanese since joining the university in 2014. His office is located in 170 Decio Faculty Hall, and his office hours are scheduled on Mondays and Tuesdays from 1:00pm to 2:30pm during FA'25, or by appointment.

Research Focus: Fuse's work centers on Language-as-Process Theory, developed by Japanese linguist Motoki Tokieda. This framework emphasizes the intentional and interactional dimensions of language.
