Ricky Padgett is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Business Administration at Champlain College’s Stiller School of Business. With over 30 years of professional experience, he specializes in leadership development, coaching, and strategic financial management. His expertise spans industries including healthcare, finance, technology, and higher education.
Padgett holds an MBA in Human Resources from Florida State University and a B.A. in Accounting and Business Administration from Troy State University. He is a certified public accountant (CPA) and a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coaching Federation. His coaching methodologies incorporate tools like MBTI®, Hogan®, and MSCEIT® assessments, focusing on emotional intelligence and resonant leadership.
He co-directs the THRIVE leadership development program and has held executive roles such as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, overseeing finance, HR, IT, and risk management. His approach emphasizes aligning individual and organizational goals through evidence-based practices and intentional change theories.
In his personal time, Padgett enjoys backyard gardening, paddleboarding, and baking gluten-free treats, while savoring local favorites like Restaurant Poco in Vermont.
