Rickard Jonsson is a Professor and Deputy Head of the Department of Child and Youth Studies at Stockholm University. His research focuses on linguistic ethnography, humor studies, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, and youth language practices. He has authored books such as Blatte betyder kompis and edited the Routledge Handbook of Language and Youth Culture. His work often explores the intersection of language, power, and identity in educational and institutional settings.
