Richard W. Robbins serves as Associate Professor and Director of Choral Activities at Shenandoah University's Conservatory. With a DMA from the University of Houston, he brings extensive experience in choral-orchestral preparation, having worked with major symphonies including the Richmond Symphony and Houston Symphony Chorus.
Research & Performance: His scholarly work focuses on Italian sacred music of the early Baroque and contemporary choral compositions. As a conductor, he has led performances featured on American Public Media's 'Pipedreams' and PBS television.
- Awards: Teacher of the Year at Houston's High School for the Performing and Visual Arts
He maintains active membership in ACDA, Chorus America, and the National Collegiate Choral Organization.
