Richard Tay is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting, Information Systems and Supply Chain at RMIT University. An internationally recognized expert in transport safety, he ranks among the top 1% of transportation researchers worldwide. Tay has led numerous research projects funded by the Australian Research Council and international agencies.
His research examines transportation safety, freight logistics, and sustainable transportation. Current projects focus on cyclist safety technologies, autonomous vehicle impacts, and pedestrian safety interventions. Tay has advised government agencies globally and frequently contributes to international media on transportation issues.
