Daniela Paddeu is an Associate Professor of Sustainable Freight Futures at the Centre for Transport and Society, School of Architecture and Environment, University of the West of England (UWE Bristol). Her expertise spans sustainable urban freight systems, decarbonisation, stakeholder engagement, and policy implications.
- Qualifications: BSc, MSc, and PhD in Civil Engineering; Doctor Europaeus; Chartered Engineer (CEng); Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CMILT).
Her research focuses on:
- Innovative and sustainable transport systems design
- Co-design methodologies for freight decarbonisation
- Impacts of autonomous vehicles on urban transport
- Hydrogen eVTOL (electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing) freight solutions
- Circular supply chains and sustainable consumption
- Smart governance frameworks for future transport systems
She has led major projects including the Foresight Freight Technology Review for the UK Government Office for Science and contributed to EU-funded initiatives like WISE ACT.
