Dr. Richard Saull is a Reader in International Politics at Queen Mary University of London's School of Politics and International Relations. He holds a BA from Portsmouth Polytechnic, an MSc from LSE, and a PhD from LSE. His career includes roles at the University of Leicester, SOAS, and Richmond, The American International University in London. His research focuses on historical sociological approaches to International Relations, particularly the Cold War, far-right movements, and neoliberal political economy. He has authored/co-authored multiple books, including The Far-Right in World Politics (2024) and Capital, Race and Space (2023). His work examines how capitalist structures and geopolitical dynamics shape radical political movements. He actively supervises doctoral students in areas like far-right ideologies, neoliberalism, and revolutionary internationalism.

Research Interests: Historical materialism, far-right international historical sociology, Cold War geopolitics, and neoliberalism's relationship with authoritarian movements. Advising & Grants: Supervised doctoral theses on topics like Ordoliberalism and far-right anti-globalism (Felix del Campo), conceptual histories of 'The Aryan Other' (Ida Roland Birkvad), and populism's neoliberal intersections (James Hicks). Current projects include monographs on fascist legacies in the post-war liberal order and the far-right within liberal modernity.
Labs/Teams: Collaborates with Alexander Anievas and others on international historical sociology projects, focusing on far-right movements and Cold War historiography.
