معرفی
Richard Greene is a Distinguished University Professor at the University of Maryland's Department of Physics. His research focuses on condensed matter physics, particularly high-temperature superconductors, iron-based materials, and topological insulators. He pioneered studies on polymeric and 2D organic superconductors and developed the relaxation technique for specific heat measurements, now standard in Quantum Design PPMS systems. Greene founded the Center for Superconductivity Research at UMD in 1989. His work has garnered over 33,000 citations and an h-index of 96.
- Research affiliations: Quantum Materials Center & Maryland NanoCenter
- Teaches Physics 104 (How Things Work), Physics 174 (Lab Intro), and Physics 272 (Fields)
Recognitions include APS and AAAS Fellowships, and the APS Dissertation Award bearing his name. His contributions define modern superconductivity research.
