Laura H. Greene is the Chief Scientist at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (National MagLab) and the Marie Krafft Professor of Physics at Florida State University. Her research focuses on quantum materials, particularly unconventional superconductivity and topological insulators, using techniques like planar tunneling and point contact spectroscopy.
Greene has authored over 200 publications and delivered more than 600 invited talks. She has held leadership roles in the American Physical Society (APS), American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP), emphasizing science diplomacy. Her work bridges experimental studies of hybridization gaps, surface states, and electron correlations in systems like SmB6, YbB12, and CeCoIn5.
Recent publications highlight her expertise in topological surface states, Kondo insulators, and superconducting proximity effects. Keywords include Condensed Matter Physics, Quantum Materials, and Superconductivity. Her research trends involve spectroscopic analysis of strongly correlated electron systems and quantum criticality.
