Richard Goode is an esteemed pianist and academic, holding the position of International Chair of Piano Studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, Visiting Professor at the Royal Academy of Music, and faculty member at Mannes College of Music in New York. He is recognized globally for his profound interpretations of Classical and Romantic repertoire. His teaching and mentorship are highly regarded, including leading masterclasses at prestigious institutions.
Education: Richard Goode studied with Nadia Reisenberg at the Mannes College of Music and later with Rudolf Serkin at the Curtis Institute of Music.
Research Interests: Goode focuses on the interpretation of classical and romantic piano literature, emphasizing emotional depth and expressive performance. His work encompasses solo piano, chamber music, and orchestral collaborations, with a particular emphasis on works by Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, and lieder.
