Igor Levit

Igor Levit is a Professor of Piano at the University of Music, Theatre and Media Hannover, where he completed his studies with the highest historical score. A world-renowned pianist, he holds prestigious roles including Co-Artistic Director of the Heidelberger Frühling and founder of the Lucerne Piano Festival. His performances span major venues like Vienna Musikverein, Berlin Philharmonie, and Carnegie Hall.

Levit’s career highlights include the Gilmore Artist Award (2018), International Beethoven Prize (2019), and Order of Merit of Germany (2020). Notable recordings include Beethoven’s 32 Sonatas (2019), Brahms’ Piano Concertos (2024), and Mendelssohn’s Lieder ohne Worte (2023).
