Richard E. Cavanagh is an Adjunct Lecturer in Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School, teaching entrepreneurial management courses since rejoining the faculty in 2007. He serves as non-executive chairman of BlackRock Fixed-Income Mutual Funds and holds directorships at Guardian Life Insurance Company, Fremont Group, and Volunteers of America.
His academic credentials include education from Wesleyan University and Harvard Business School.
Dr. Cavanagh's expertise bridges private-sector entrepreneurship and social-sector innovation, drawing from decades of executive leadership in multinational corporations, non-profits, and start-ups.
