Richard Dubé is a Full Professor at the Department of Criminology, University of Ottawa, and a member of the Canada Research Chair in Legal Traditions and Penal Rationality. His research focuses on sociology of criminal law, systems theory (Luhmann), epistemology, and reflexive organizations in criminal law reform. He teaches courses such as 'Séminaire de doctorat en criminologie' and 'Théories de la réaction sociale en criminologie.'

He currently supervises three doctoral students: Alexandre Audesse, Frederico Fagundes Soares, and Alec Pagé. His research is affiliated with the Canada Research Chair in Legal Traditions and Penal Rationality, emphasizing interdisciplinary exploration of penal law’s sociological foundations.
