Richard Corley is an Adjunct Lecturer at the School of Theatre and Music, University of Illinois Chicago. He is a multidisciplinary theatre artist with expertise in directing, playwriting, and dramaturgy, specializing in classical works and new play development.
Education:
- Master of Fine Arts, Illinois State University
His research and practice focus on classical theatre, Shakespearean performance, and dramaturgical approaches to adapting poetry and literature into theatrical works. He has directed major productions like Hamlet, Julius Caesar, and Romeo and Juliet.

- Panelist for National Endowment Career Development Program
Corley has served as Artistic Director of Madison Repertory Theatre and Associate Producing Director of The Acting Company (founded by John Houseman), contributing to over 30 world premieres.
