Richard Coffman

Richard Coffman is a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Arkansas, College of Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Missouri and is a licensed professional engineer.

He also specializes in deep foundation mechanics, blast-induced liquefaction, and unsaturated soil behavior.

Recent publications highlight his work in lidar instrumentation, photogrammetry for triaxial testing, and satellite-based flood assessment. These studies emphasize field testing and laboratory validation of soil properties.
