Richard Byers

Richard Byers is an Associate Professor (Reader) in Pathology at the University of Manchester and a Consultant Haematopathologist at Manchester Royal Infirmary. He holds an honorary clinical chair with MAHSC and is affiliated with the Division of Cancer Sciences. His expertise spans molecular pathology, leukemia/lymphoma diagnostics, and translational research applying prognostic gene signatures. He developed quantum-dot (qdot) based multiplex ISH during a sabbatical at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard (2003-2004).
