Riccardo Schulz is a Teaching Professor in the School of Music at Carnegie Mellon University, specializing in Sound Recording. He directs recording activities and oversees operations, including managing the Edgar Stanton Audio Recording Institute's summer program at the Aspen Music Festival. His work spans classical, jazz, rock, and hip-hop genres, with over 100 CD productions. He collaborates extensively with orchestras, soloists, and innovative artists.
He holds a Master's in Mathematics from Duquesne University and a Master's in Musicology from the University of Pittsburgh. His expertise includes live performance recording for radio broadcasts with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and Opera, and he co-developed the School of Music's Webcast project and Destination website for live internet broadcasts.
