Riccardo Berutti

Riccardo Berutti is a Researcher in NGS Bioinformatics at CRS4 (Center for Research, Development and Advanced Studies in Sardinia). He has over 15 years of experience in NGS sequencing, bioinformatics pipeline development, and clinical genomics. Previously, he worked at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the Helmholtz Center in Munich.

• Education: Doctorate from the Sardinian Genome Project (results published in Science)

His research focuses on bioinformatics tool development for clinical variant interpretation (e.g., EVAdb), RNA-Seq analysis, and ISO15189 diagnostic certification processes. He contributes to open-source solutions for LIMS systems and NGS pipelines. Current projects include LIFEMAP (genomic mapping for personalized medicine) and RADAR (advanced oncology diagnostics).
