Ricardo Mendes is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine. Previously, he served as a full professor at the Instituto Federal Catarinense (IFC) in Brazil, focusing on veterinary pathology and diagnostic research. His academic journey includes a DVM from UDESC (1996–2000), a Ph.D. in Veterinary Pathology from Universidad de Córdoba (2006–2010), and additional qualifications in agribusiness, education, and research.
