Franco Matias-Ferreyra

Franco Matias-Ferreyra is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Anatomic Pathology at the Department of Diagnostic Medicine/Pathobiology, College of Veterinary Medicine, Kansas State University. He serves as Section Head for Necropsy and engages in diagnostic pathology, surgical biopsies, and collaborative research focusing on swine, bovine, and domestic farm animal diseases under BSL-3 conditions, including ASF, RFV, JEV, Mpox, HPAI, and SARS-CoV-2. His species-specific expertise spans infectious diseases like SIV, PCV3, Mhyo, MHP, PRRSV, and Salmonella in swine, along with bovine respiratory diseases and pestiviruses.
