Brittany Rasche

Dr. Brittany L. Rasche is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Medicine/Pathobiology at Kansas State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her DVM at Purdue University (2019) and an anatomic pathology residency at North Carolina State University (2019-2022), earning diplomate status from the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in 2022.

Her research focuses on hepatic pathology and oncologic pathology (neoplasia), with specific expertise in:

• Comparative hepatic disease mechanisms
• Tumor biology in exotic and domestic species
• Fungal/oomycotic infection pathology
• Dermatopathology diagnostics
• Collaborative veterinary research
• Resident training in anatomic pathology

Recent publications highlight her work on cutaneous mast cell tumors in miniature pigs, canine chronic hepatitis, and fungal/oomycotic infections across species, reflecting interdisciplinary collaborations and diagnostic methodology advancements.
