معرفی
Ricardo González-Pinzón is a Professor of Water Resources Engineering at the Department of Civil, Construction & Environmental Engineering, University of New Mexico. He leads the EcoHydrology and HydroSystems Lab, focusing on watershed-scale mass and energy fluxes through interdisciplinary research integrating hydrology, environmental engineering, aquatic ecology, and computational modeling.
- Research Themes: Hydrologic transport, wildfire impacts on water resources, food-energy-water nexus, groundwater-surface water interactions, and smart tracers.
- Methodologies: Combines experimental sensors, geophysical techniques, hydrologic modeling, and uncertainty analysis.
Labs & Teams: The EcoHydrology and HydroSystems Lab conducts multidisciplinary research with students and collaborators, emphasizing biogeochemical processes and solute transport dynamics.
Teaching & Outreach: He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in hydrology and water resources engineering and engages in community outreach through the Center for Water and the Environment.
