Ricard Silvestre Vaño

Ricard Silvestre Vaño is a permanent professor at the Universitat de València, affiliated with the Faculty of Teacher Training and the Institute of Educational Creativity and Innovation (ICIE). He specializes in the Didactics of Plastic Expression and is actively involved in the TALIS research group focused on teaching and acquisition of solidarity and intercultural competences through languages and literature. Previously, he collaborated with the CREARI Cultural Pedagogies Research Group.

• Education: Doctorate from Universitat Politècnica de València (2004) with a thesis on factual analysis of web-based pictorial imagery and hermeneutics of perception.

Research Interests center on integrating artistic expression into educational frameworks, fostering intercultural dialogue, and leveraging language and literature pedagogy to develop solidarity competences. His work bridges educational theory with practical applications in multicultural settings.

Labs & Teams: He contributes to the Institute of Educational Creativity and Innovation (ICIE) and collaborates with the TALIS research group.
