Rhys Davies

Rhys Davies is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Media Arts at Royal Holloway, University of London. He is affiliated with the Centre for Audiovisual Research and has been a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts since 2013.

His research explores intermediality in modernist movements, focusing on the intersections of Futurism, Fluxus, and audiovisual practices. Key interests include kinetic emulation in theater, noise theory, and the evolution of sound in visual texts.

Recent publications examine Dziga Vertov's audiovisual experimentation and Luigi Russolo's sound theories. His work spans media arts, film history, and digital composition, reflecting interests in modernist innovation and experimental practices.
