Christopher Gladwin

Christopher Gladwin is a Lecturer in Sound and Music Composition at the School of Digital Arts, Manchester Metropolitan University, teaching digital composition across BA/MA Music and Sound Design programmes with expertise in electronic music production, audiovisual arts, and game/film soundtracking.

His research specializes in audio synthesis and experimental sound design, with interests spanning:

• Komiche Musik traditions
• 70/80s sci-fi/horror film influences
• Weird fiction and Forteana
• Open-world/RPG video game audio

Professionally, he has performed internationally through projects including Team Doyobi (Skam, FatCat records) and The Wyrding Module (ICASEA), while exhibiting installations at Manchester City Gallery, Post War Festival of Art & Culture in Iraq, and Kinetica. His creative practice bridges natural history, painting, and experimental approaches to sound in digital media contexts.
