Rhiannon Macpherson

Rhiannon Macpherson is a Principal Lecturer in Allied Health and Professional Lead for Occupational Therapy at Wrexham University. She has previously held roles as Programme Lead for the part-time occupational therapy programme and admissions tutor for both full-time and part-time routes.

• Graduated as an occupational therapist from Coventry University in 1994
• Completed a Masters in Health Science in 2005
• Currently pursuing a Professional Doctorate in Health and Social Care at the University of Chester

With 10 years of NHS experience, including as a Clinical Specialist for Children and Young People, she has also worked as an occupational therapist for children in the USA, New Zealand, and the independent sector. Her research focuses on widening participation and the transition experiences of occupational therapy graduates entering practice.
