Rhiannon Luyster is a Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders at Emerson College. A developmental psychologist specializing in autism research, she has contributed to the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule - 2nd edition (ADOS-2) and focuses on early social communication and language development in children with autism. Her work is funded by prestigious organizations including the National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, and Brain & Behavior Research Foundation.
- Education: B.A. from Wesleyan University, M.Ed. from Boston College, Ph.D. from University of Michigan
Dr. Luyster teaches graduate courses on research methods and autism, as well as undergraduate courses in developmental psychology. Her research program, the LI+TLE Lab, actively engages Emerson students in clinical studies with young children. She has received recognition for her teaching and research excellence through multiple awards.
