Resty Naiga

Resty Naiga is a Lecturer in the Department of Development Studies at the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda. She holds a Ph.D. in Water Governance from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), Vienna, Austria; a Master's in Development Studies from University College Dublin, Ireland; and a Bachelor of Social Sciences from Makerere University, Uganda.

with a particular emphasis on rural Ugandan communities managing shared water resources.

In her 2021 project, she investigated how collective action frameworks can resolve water-related conflicts using a transdisciplinary approach. This work highlights the importance of social institutions in promoting equitable water use and strengthening community resilience.
