Renée Bergeron

Renée Bergeron is an Associate Professor in the Department of Animal Biosciences at the Ontario Agricultural College (University of Guelph) and currently serves as Assistant Dean Academic. Her research focuses on the intersection of feeding practices and animal welfare, with specialized expertise in dairy cattle and swine behaviour. She holds a background in animal nutrition and behaviour, investigating topics such as feeding preferences, social behaviour dynamics, and stress responses in animals related to their physical and social environments.

Dr. Bergeron's work emphasizes practical applications of behavioural research to improve livestock welfare, particularly in dairy and swine production systems. She maintains an active research program addressing how feeding strategies influence animal well-being and productivity.
