Marianne VILLETTAZ ROBICHAUD

Marianne Villettaz Robichaud is an Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Sciences at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Université de Montréal. Her research focuses on animal welfare, dairy cattle management, and the interplay between livestock well-being and farm productivity. She holds a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the Ontario Veterinary College (2016), an M.Sc. in Animal Sciences (2010), and a B.Sc. in Agronomy (2008), all from Université Laval and University of Guelph.

Her research expertise includes evaluating farming practices affecting calf welfare, hoof health in dairy cattle, and stress interrelations between farmers and livestock. She leads projects funded by agencies like MAPAQ, FRQNT, and MITACS, with a focus on improving dairy farm sustainability through evidence-based practices.

Key projects include developing AI tools for hoof health monitoring, evaluating stress links between farmers and cattle, and optimizing calf management to enhance productivity. She is affiliated with research groups like Op+lait, CERCL, and GREPAQ.
