Gilles Fecteau

Gilles Fecteau is a Full Professor (Professeur titulaire) in the Department of Clinical Sciences at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (Faculté de médecine vétérinaire) of the Université de Montréal. He specializes in bovine internal medicine, infectious diseases, and dairy cattle health. His affiliations include the Op+lait research group for optimal milk quality, GRESABO (Groupe de recherche en santé bovine), and CERCL (Centre d’expertise et de recherche clinique en santé et bien être animal).

Education: DVM from Université de Montréal (1986), followed by an internship in bovine medicine and surgery (1987). Completed a residency in veterinary internal medicine at the University of California, Davis (1993), earning Diplomate status from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM).

Research Interests: Focus on infectious diseases in dairy cattle, biosafety measures, gastroenterology, and clinical biochemistry.
