He has organized numerous international conferences such as 'Self-Control and Weakness of Will' (2007) and 'Animals and Ethics' (2012).
His academic career includes editorial roles for peer-reviewed journals like Revue Philosophique de Louvain and co-editing influential volumes such as Pleasure: Ancient Conceptions, Modern Reflections (2006) and Aristotle: Rationalities (2011). He has supervised doctoral research, including Saholy Razanabololona’s thesis on Plato and Democracy (2010).
Lefebvre’s work bridges ancient and modern thought, exploring themes like sympathy in antiquity, the philosophical implications of Aristotle’s zoology, and the ethical dimensions of ancient political structures. His interdisciplinary approach integrates metaphysical, ethical, and sociopolitical analyses, contributing to contemporary debates in classical studies and moral philosophy.
