Dr Renee Morrison is a Lecturer in Pedagogy and Curriculum at the School of Education and Tertiary Access, University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC), with over 20 years of secondary education experience across Australia, Canada, and the UK. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and a core member of UniSC's Indigenous and Transcultural Research Centre (ITRC).

Her research examines digital literacies in education through critical discourse analysis, focusing on interactions between digital practices and societal power structures. Her work challenges assumptions about 'digital natives' and emphasizes explicit instruction in search skills.
