Renaud Legoux is a Professor in the Department of Marketing at HEC Montréal, holding an Associate Membership in the Carmelle and Rémi Marcoux Chair in Arts Management. He earned a D.E.S.S. and M.Sc. in Management from HEC Montréal, and a Ph.D. in Management from McGill University. His research focuses on consumer behavior, marketing in cultural industries, customer satisfaction, and sales promotions, with a particular emphasis on the music, arts, and digital marketing sectors.
His recent work includes studies on online engagement's impact on new product performance, the role of charity advocacy in musician branding, and service crisis management in data breaches. He has supervised numerous doctoral and master's students, including co-directing theses on consumer engagement in the music industry, strategic branding, and arts management challenges.
Legoux teaches courses such as 'Analysis of Marketing Databases,' 'Quantitative Methods in Marketing,' and 'Omnichannel Distribution.' His research spans diverse topics from cultural marketing to digital transformation in SMEs, reflecting his commitment to bridging academic theory with practical business applications.
