Renate Soellner

Renate Soellner is a Professor of Methodology at the Institute of Psychology, Faculty of Educational and Social Sciences, University of Hildesheim. She has been a full professor since 2009 and previously held a junior professorship at the Free University of Berlin. She served as Vice President for Research and Young Scientists from 2013 to 2017, reflecting her leadership in academic governance.

Her research spans evaluation research, health psychology, substance use, health and eHealth literacy, and dementia caregiving. She has led major projects such as 'Communities That Care' and 'Tele.TAnDem'—a telephone-based intervention for caregivers of dementia patients. Her methodological expertise includes multilevel analysis, questionnaire development, and validation studies.

Her recent publications focus on youth substance use, caregiver burden, health literacy measurement, and cross-cultural differences in parenting and risk behavior.
