Renate Klaassen is a Senior Researcher at the Delft Institute of Applied Mathematics (EEMCS), Delft University of Technology, working 0.2 fte since 2021, and Programme Coordinator for the 4TU Centre for Engineering Education (0.6 fte since 2014). She also serves as a policy advisor for the Graduate School and Executive Secretary for the Board for Doctorates. Her research focuses on trans-interdisciplinary education, engineering roles in higher education, mathematics competencies, gender in service education, and English-medium instruction.
