Rena Leinberger

Rena Leinberger is a Lecturer in the Art Department at SUNY New Paltz. She holds an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has taught at various institutions, including SAIC and Harper College. Her career includes graphic design, arts administration, and the founding of A/D Gallery in New York City, which collaborated with prestigious venues like the Cooper-Hewitt Museum and Galeria Gonzalez in Madrid.

• Teaching Interests: Interdisciplinary practice, first-year studies, cultural studies, sculpture, installation art, public art.
• Research/Creative Activity: Rena’s artwork has been exhibited globally, including at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Queens Museum of Art, and Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA). Her public art projects include commissions by the Evanston Art Center and NYC DOT’s Urban Art Program.
