Remco van Doorn

Prof. Remco van Doorn is a Professor of Dermatology at Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) specializing in melanoma research. He holds dual affiliations with LUMC and the Netherlands Cancer Institute-Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital. His research focuses on melanoma genomics, cellular senescence in nevi, and CDKN2A gene inactivation mechanisms. He collaborates across disciplines including dermatology, genetics, and oncology to advance diagnostics, prevention, and therapies for melanoma. Teaching responsibilities include Medicine and Biomedical Sciences programs at both BSc and MSc levels.
