Rebekah Modrak is a Professor at the Stamps School of Art & Design, University of Michigan. Her work bridges art, activism, and critical design, focusing on consumer culture critique, gender/class identity, and brand strategies. She holds an MFA from Syracuse University and a BFA from Alfred University. Affiliated with CREES and WCEE, her projects include Re Made Co. and RETHINK SHINOLA.

Research interests include art as political resistance, brand messaging analysis, and the intersection of design with social justice. Her articles explore brand strategies, gender/class dynamics, and culture jamming. Projects like eBayADay and #exstrange subvert online market conventions. Modrak advocates for artistic interventions addressing systemic inequities in education and urban spaces.
