Rebekah Bogard is an Associate Professor and Area Head of Ceramics at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), within the Department of Art, Art History and Design. She is affiliated with the School of the Arts in the College of Liberal Arts. Her work explores personal history and vulnerability through fictional animal narratives, using ceramics as her primary medium.
Education: MFA in Ceramics from UNLV (2003), BFA from University of Wyoming (2000), and earlier degrees in Education and Fine Arts from Casper College (1994–1996).
Her artistic practice focuses on creating mysterious, vulnerable animal figures to convey personal and universal themes. These works have been featured in solo/group exhibitions nationally and reviewed in Art in America, LA Times, and ceramic arts publications.
