معرفی
Dr. Rebekah Grieger is a Research Fellow at Griffith University's School of Environment and Science (Department of Environment and Marine), affiliated with the Australian Rivers Institute. Her work focuses on wetland ecology, climate change impacts, and ecosystem management. She holds a PhD in wetland vegetation ecology (Griffith University, 2021) and a B.Sc. with Honors in Ecology and Conservation Biology (Griffith University, 2016).
Her research addresses vegetation dynamics in coastal and inland wetlands, particularly under climate change. She collaborates on projects assessing wetland resilience, restoration, and management, including regional initiatives in the Murray-Darling Basin. Recent activities include analyzing seed bank contributions to vegetation resilience and predicting dryland wetland transformations under climate scenarios.
Grieger has secured funding from organizations like the Cotton Research and Development Corporation and Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder, leading projects on weed management prioritization and environmental water use. She mentors PhD candidates in riparian and wetland ecology and contributes to teaching through guest lectures and lab facilitation.
Key outputs include peer-reviewed articles on wetland regeneration, climatic vulnerability, and spatial ecology, as well as technical reports for government and industry partners. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals 13 (Climate Action), 14 (Life Below Water), and 15 (Life on Land).
