Rebecca Zerk is a Researcher and Director of the Centre for Age, Gender and Social Justice at Aberystwyth University's Department of Law & Criminology. She serves as Co-Lead of the Dewis Choice Initiative, a 4* REF-recognized project addressing domestic abuse among older adults.

Research Interests focus on:
Victimology with emphasis on older women's experiences of domestic and sexual abuse, Gerontology examining abuse in later life, and Social Justice through co-production methods. Her work bridges academic research with practice-led training for 24,000+ practitioners and utilizes creative methodologies like film and VR to amplify marginalized voices.
Recent publications span 2024-2015, emphasizing abuse in later life, coercive control dynamics, and technology-enabled interventions. Her Welsh Crucible Prize (2024) recognizes research excellence.
