Rebecca Walters is a Senior Lecturer in Education at Teesside University, affiliated with the School of SSSHL Education, Teaching Training and Social Work. Her academic background includes a BA (Hons) in Primary Education and an MA in Education from Bishop Grosseteste University College Lincoln, with a focus on action research. She has 13 years of experience in primary school teaching and has transitioned to higher education, where she teaches modules on early pedagogical approaches, Early Years Professional Status, and Key Stage 1 and 2 education. She currently serves as a Year 2 tutor for the BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies program and has lectured internationally in Malaysia.
Her research interests center on pedagogical strategies in early years education, barriers to learning, feedback mechanisms, and educational attainment in higher education. Her work also explores the role of social media as a learning tool, informed by Kittler's theoretical frameworks. She has contributed to interdisciplinary research on student engagement and digital learning environments.
