Rebecca N. Wright is the Druckenmiller Professor of Computer Science at Barnard College, Columbia University. She serves as Faculty Director of the Vagelos Computational Science Center and is an affiliate of Columbia University's Data Science Institute and Cybersecurity Research Center. Her research focuses on computer and communications security, privacy, cryptographic protocols, and fault-tolerant distributed computing. Wright has taught courses such as Privacy in a Networked World and has advised numerous graduate students in cybersecurity and distributed systems. She leads initiatives like the Cyber NYC REU program and is involved in professional organizations like the ACM Conference on Computer and Communications Security Steering Committee. Her work emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches to privacy challenges and policy implications of technology.
