Rebecca Lynch is an Assistant Professor in Medical Anthropology (Honorary) at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Her work bridges anthropology and public health, focusing on health, illness, bodily boundaries, and the interplay between bodies and environments. She holds a PhD in Social Anthropology from UCL (2016), an MSc in Medical Anthropology from UCL (2015), and a BA in Social Anthropology from the University of Kent (2013).

Her research explores constructions of health, biomedical frameworks, and non-human interactions. Recent projects include studies on multi-morbidity in London and the fluidity of bodily definitions. She has conducted fieldwork in Trinidad and the UK, addressing topics like public health interventions, chronic conditions, and the social dimensions of health technologies.
Key collaborations include work on parental mental health, domestic violence impacts, and systematic reviews of healthcare costs. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and well-being (SDG 3) and sustainable cities (SDG 11).
She has advised on projects such as the Well London initiative and has contributed to policy analyses on healthcare access and chronic disease management.
