Dr Rebecca Lu serves as a Teaching Fellow in Strategy and Innovation within the Department of Marketing and Management at Durham University Business School, a triple-accredited institution renowned for academic excellence and global business connections.
Her academic credentials include:
- PhD in Strategic Management from Aston Business School (2024)
- MSc in Strategy and International Business from Aston University (2021)
- BSc in Business and International Relations from Aston University (2016)
Dr Lu's research centers on Strategy as Practice, with specialized focus on how play manifests in strategic work, dynamics of inclusion/exclusion in organizational decision-making, and ambiguity resolution through innovative qualitative methodologies. Her pioneering use of video ethnography provides unique insights into real-time strategic processes, bridging theoretical frameworks with practical organizational behavior.
Her work has gained international recognition through presentations at premier conferences including European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS 2023, 2024), British Academy of Management (BAM 2023), and Midlands Graduate School (2023), where her EGOS 2024 paper received a Best Paper Award nomination for Sub-theme 69.
