Rebecca Loew is a Professor of Behavioral Sciences and Coordinator for Sociology & Anthropology at Middlesex Community College. With extensive experience in higher education, she teaches sociology, psychology, and advises the Human Services Student Association (HSSA). Her academic journey includes an AB in Sociology (cum laude) from Vassar College, a Master’s in Public Administration from Columbia University, and a PhD in Social Policy from Brandeis University’s Heller School. She has taught at institutions such as the University of Lowell, Brandeis, Tufts, Union College, and Adelphi University’s Graduate School of Social Work.
Dr. Loew’s research focuses on social policy and aging, with publications in peer-reviewed journals, monographs, and reports. She has contributed to policy analysis for organizations like the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Healthcare Association of New York State. She is actively involved in civic roles, serving on community organization boards. Her professional narrative emphasizes interdisciplinary engagement, bridging academic research with practical policy applications.
