Rebecca Lingwood is a distinguished academic and administrator currently serving as Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Lancaster University (from July 2024). She holds the title of Professor of Fluid Dynamics and has held senior roles at institutions including Brunel University London (Provost, 2018–2024), Queen Mary University of London (Vice-Principal for Student Experience, Teaching & Learning, 2015–2018), and the University of Cambridge (Director of the Institute of Continuing Education, Warden of Madingley Hall). She is also an Affiliated Professor at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
