Rebecca Korf is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Whitworth University, having joined the faculty in 2024. Her academic background includes a B.S. in Biochemistry (Whitworth University), followed by advanced degrees in Philosophy of Science (M.A. from University of Montana and M.A./Ph.D. expected in 2024 from University of California Irvine).
Her research focuses on Philosophy of Science, Environmental Philosophy, Medical Humanities, and Formal Social Epistemology. She explores topics like value influence in scientific practices, epistemic networks, and ethical dimensions of scientific collaboration.
Recent work includes presentations at institutions such as Leibniz University Hannover and UC San Diego, addressing themes like transparency in science and democratic values in epistemic communities. She co-organized the 2022 Values, Fairness, and Machine Learning Conference at UC Irvine.
